Scientists stimulated the brains of bind patients using electrodes that were implanted on the surface of the brain. The scientists then sent patterns of electricity across the brain. These patterns caused the brain to believe that they have seen a letter. The patterns sent the same signal as if that letter was seen. Causing the patients to see letters that were not actually there. This Technology has great promises. The Techology is currently in its early stages of development. However, in the future these devices could be implant on the surface of the brain and it stimulate the brain and it could somewhat restore vision to the blind. This Techology known as visual prosthetics. Visual prosthetics could work with cochlea implants to stimulate the nerves of the inner ear. The Visual prosthetics could help the bind see. ​
