A connectome is a comprehensive map of neuronal connections in the brain. A brain of a fruit fly has about 200,000 neurons. A connectome is made by cutting up thin pieces of the body and taking photos of it under an electron microscope. In the future the connectome of the human brain and nervous system could be mapped out. This could help us understand about the human brain how it is wired and how it causes us to function.
